Brian Melter to drive web, mobile, social and tech-based strategies

QUINCY, Mass., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Financial Data Services, Inc., a leading provider of financial services, has hired Brian Melter as Managing Director for their E-Business Solutions division. Building on Boston Financial's recognized leadership in E-Commerce, Melter will help advance web, mobile, social media, and emerging technology-based solutions to foster cost-effective growth and enhance client and advisor engagement. Melter's appointment reinforces Boston Financial's commitment to offer a consultative approach to develop solutions that help financial services clients better manage their businesses.

Melter has more than 17 years of experience in mutual fund technology, operations, marketing, and strategy. He joins Boston Financial from Wells Fargo Funds Management, where he was senior vice president and head of operations, overseeing transfer agent relationships and related activities across 529 plans and open-end, closed-end, offshore and collective funds. Melter was also responsible for establishing the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds online environments. During his tenure at Wells Fargo, Melter provided strategic direction for the E-Commerce platform and online marketing activities, which increased client and advisor adoption rates and earned multiple industry awards for content, innovation, design, and business results. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Funds Management, Melter led E-Commerce strategy, design, development, and online marketing for Strong Financial Corporation.
