BOSTON--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--MFS Investment Management (MFS) announced today that Nevin P. Chitkara has been added to the portfolio management team of MFS Special Value Trust ("the Fund") (NYSE: MFV), effective immediately.
Chitkara will manage the equity portion of the Fund. He replaces Brooks A. Taylor, who previously managed the equity portion of the Fund. Both Chitkara and Taylor will continue with their other portfolio management responsibilities at MFS.
There is no change to the Fund's investment strategy as a result of Chitkara's appointment.
Current fixed income portfolio managers for the Fund, William J. Adams and David P. Cole, continue to manage the Fund as well.
