Hardee Named Vice-Chairman of CCB Board of Directors

SOUTH HILL, Va., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CCB (OTC: CZYB) is pleased to announce the naming of Alfred "Denny" Hardee as the Vice-Chairman of its Board of Directors.  Hardee was elected to this new post after the retirement of the former Vice-Chairman and founding director C. Linwood Holt earlier this year.

A charter member of the CCB Board, Hardee has served on the executive committee since its inception and also been a member of numerous other committees.  He graduated from Community Bankers Director College in 2000 and is the retired owner of Hardee Ford, now managed by sons Shaun and Chris.  He has been a member of the Community Memorial Healthcenter Board of Trustees for nine years, two of those as chairman, and currently serves as vice-chair.  His commitment to the hospital is unwavering and has been underscored with participation in two capital campaigns.  The first resulted in a Cancer and Rehabilitation Center, and his current role as co-chair in partnership with his wife Cathy will support the construction of a radiation therapy center and surgical tower.

"I'm looking forward to my new role as the vice-chairman of the CCB Board," says Hardee.  "I am excited about working with our team to watch our bank grow while helping those in our area with their financial needs.  I also am thankful for the support we receive from our residents and am truly excited about the future opportunities for CCB."

Hardee is married to the former Cathy Hawkins of Carson, Va., and they have two sons and four grandsons.  He is an active member of Olive Branch Baptist Church where he serves as financial officer and plays electric bass guitar for the Christian praise band "Footstool."  Relocating to the lake country region 20 years ago from the Hopewell/Chester area, he currently enjoys living on Buggs Island Lake, playing golf, reading, traveling and playing music.

The CCB Board of Directors is a diverse, 9-member body that is charged with overseeing the bank's direction and growth plan.  The board's additional members are Chairman R. T. Arnold, Secretary Garland W. Baird, J. A. Barker, Matthew B. Glover, Thomas C. Manson, Norman D. Wagstaff, Jr., James A. Butts, III and William S. Wilkinson.
