ILFC Secures Sale-Leaseback Deal with American Airlines
LOS ANGELES--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), announced today that it has completed an agreement with American Airlines to purchase and leaseback 15 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft. The agreement covers certain aircraft that American had previously ordered andthat have beendelivered or are scheduled for deliveryduring 2012.

The Boeing 737 aircraft family has been widely received in the market. Earlier this week, ILFC took delivery of its 425th 737 aircraft, which was delivered to Korean Air and represented the 690th Boeing aircraft to be delivered to ILFC in its nearly 40-year relationship with the manufacturer. ILFC is Boeingas largest lessor customer and Boeingas fourth largest customer overall including airlines.
