Janus Hires Regional Retirement Director for the Financial Institutions Team

DENVER--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE: JNS) today announced the appointment of Mike Malinsky as regional retirement director of Financial Institutions. In this new role, Malinsky will partner with divisional managers and wholesalers in the insurance industry to promote Janusa™ strong product options. He will also be responsible for facilitating sales, servicing and strategy implementation within the Financial Institutions team. Malinsky, who will cover the eastern territory, reports directly to Chris Furman, vice president and managing director of Financial Institutions.

Prior to joining Janus, Malinsky was vice president and funds manager at Genworth Financial. He has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 11 years with Genworth. He managed all mutual fund relationships within Genwortha™s variable annuity and group annuity policies, which represented approximately $12 billion of assets under management.Malinsky earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and a master of business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
