TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 3, 2010) - Semcan Inc. (TSX VENTURE:STT) ("Semcan" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the temporary trading halt is expected to be lifted at the start of trading on Friday June 4, 2010. Semcan had requested a trade halt in connection with the announcement of the proposed merger transaction with Group DKG Corp. ("DKG") (see press release of May 31, 2010).

Semcan confirms that on closing of the proposed merger with DKG, Mr. David Deacon will join the board of directors of Semcan and Mr. Jonathan Aune will join the management team of Semcan as VP Corporate Affairs. Semcan does not intend to make any other changes to the board of directors at this time.

Semcan also announces today that it has re-scheduled its upcoming annual and special meeting of shareholders to Tuesday June 29, 2010.
