NaiKun Wind Welcomes B.C. Government's 'Special Direction' on Clean, Renewable Energy
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 29, 2009) - NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NKW) ("NaiKun Wind") welcomes the provincial government's 'special direction' to the British Columbia Utilities Commission to end BC Hydro's reliance on the Burrard Thermal Generating Facility for energy needs, and to replace that supply with clean, renewal and cost-effective energy through BC Hydro's Clean Power Call and Bioenergy Call for Power.

NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. ([ www.naikun.ca ]) is a British Columbia-based renewable energy company with offices in Vancouver, Masset and Skidegate. The 396 MW offshore wind energy project will generate enough energy to provide electricity to 130,000 B.C. homes. NaiKun Wind is in the final stages of obtaining environmental assessment certificates from the federal and provincial governments and from the Haida Nation.
