The FDA recalled nearly 50,000 ounces of Our Family ground coffee after packages were mislabeled as decaffeinated.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for over 4,000 bags of ground coffee that were incorrectly labeled as decaffeinated. This mislabeling affects products distributed across 15 states, with the coffee actually containing regular, caffeinated coffee. The recall was initiated by the manufacturer after it was discovered that the packaging error could pose health risks to consumers who are sensitive to caffeine or are advised to avoid it for medical reasons. Consumers are advised to check their coffee bags for specific lot numbers and to return or dispose of the affected products. The states involved in the recall include but are not limited to, California, Florida, and New York. No adverse health effects have been reported yet, but the FDA is urging consumers to be vigilant.
