The Reserve Bank of India said on Monday it has superseded the board of Aviom India Housing Finance due to governance concerns and defaults in meeting payment obligations.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken over the board of Aviom India Housing Finance due to governance issues, as reported on January 27, 2025. This action was taken under Section 45-IE (3) of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, which allows the RBI to supersede the board of directors if it believes the company is not functioning in the interest of its depositors or public interest. The RBI has appointed a new board consisting of three members: S.
