  This historic building has been empty for years.

The Budget and Finance Committee of Cincinnati has approved a $161 million plan to renovate the Carew Tower, a historic skyscraper in the city's downtown area. The plan, which was proposed by 3CDC, a local non-profit real estate developer, includes upgrades to the building's infrastructure, as well as the addition of new retail and office space. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs and generate millions of dollars in economic activity for the city. The full City Council is expected to vote on the plan in the coming weeks.
