Two companies are setting up shop in the Charlotte area, bringing more than 500 new jobs and millions in investment.

Two companies, Prysmian Group and Draka, are set to bring over 500 new jobs to the Marshall County area in Kentucky, as announced by Governor Andy Beshear. Prysmian Group, a global leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, will invest $58.8 million to expand its existing facility in Williamstown, creating 87 full-time jobs. Concurrently, Draka, a subsidiary of Prysmian Group, will establish a new facility in Marshall County with a $72.5 million investment, leading to the creation of 440 full-time jobs. These developments are expected to significantly boost the local economy and were celebrated by local officials and community leaders.
