An HR company says it used a Slack trap to catch a corporate spy

A Rippling lawsuit says a spy locked himself in a bathroom when approached with a court order to seize his phone.
Rippling, a payroll and HR startup, has filed a lawsuit against its competitor Deel, alleging corporate espionage. Rippling is seeking damages and an injunction to prevent Deel from using the allegedly stolen information. The legal action underscores the competitive tensions in the HR tech industry, where innovation and proprietary technology are key differentiators.
