Utility firm Duke Energy names insider Harry Sideris as CEO

  • Utility firm Duke Energy said on Monday it has appointed insider Harry Sideris as its chief executive officer, effective April 1.

Duke Energy Corp has appointed Harry Sideris as its new CEO, effective from January 13, 2025, following the retirement of current CEO Lynn Good. Sideris, who has been with Duke Energy for over 20 years, most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Customer Experience, Solutions and Services. His appointment aims to continue the company's focus on clean energy transition, grid reliability, and customer service enhancement. Lynn Good, who has led Duke Energy since 2013, will stay on as Executive Chair until the end of 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. The announcement comes at a time when Duke Energy is navigating through significant regulatory and environmental changes in the utility sector.
