  • December 03, 2024 -- ( BUSINESS WIRE )--UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) issued financial guidance ahead of its annual Investor Conference which takes place on December 4, beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET.

UnitedHealth Group has updated its business outlook for 2023, projecting a full-year net earnings of $23.60 to $24.00 per share, and adjusted net earnings of $24.85 to $25.00 per share. This update reflects a slight increase from their previous guidance, driven by strong performances in their Optum and UnitedHealthcare segments. The company also raised its revenue forecast to a range of $367 billion to $370 billion, up from the earlier $357 billion to $360 billion. This adjustment comes amidst ongoing challenges like rising medical costs and labor shortages in the healthcare sector. Additionally, UnitedHealth Group reported a second-quarter revenue of $92.9 billion, surpassing expectations, with earnings per share at $6.14, also beating estimates. The company continues to focus on expanding its value-based care initiatives and enhancing its digital health capabilities to address the evolving needs of the healthcare market.
