(NYSE: [ SF ]) today announced that Marc Grasso, M.D. has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Dr. Grasso, who is based in the firm's San Francisco office, will cover biopharmaceutical companies in the U.S.

Before joining UBS in 2010, Dr. Grasso was a Managing Director with Leerink Swann, where he was instrumental in the west coast expansion of their franchise. Dr. Grasso earned a Doctorate in Medicine from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
