Northland Announces Dates for 2012 Third Quarter Financial Results Release and Details of Investor Call

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 5, 2012) - Northland Power Inc. ("Northland") (TSX:NPI)(TSX:NPI.PR.A)(TSX:NPI.PR.C)(TSX:NPI.DB.A) announced plans to release its 2012 third quarter financial results after market close on November 6, 2012. Northland management will hold an investor conference call at 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time on November 7, 2012, followed by a question and answer period.

Northland Power Inc. owns or has a net economic interest in 1,005 MW of operating generating capacity, and 320 MW of generating capacity in construction.
