EasyMed Services, Inc. Signs Cricketing Great Wasim Akram to Launch Medical Passport in Asia and Middle East

EasyMed has Signed a Marketing Agreement With International Cricket Legend Wasim Akram to Endorse the Company's Products and Participate in Marketing Activities

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--(Marketwire - Oct. 4, 2012) - EasyMed Services Inc. (CNSX:EZM)(OTCBB:EMYSF)(MUN:EY6) ("EasyMed" or the "Company") announces the signing of Pakistani cricket superstar Wasim Akram as the face of its Middle Eastern and Asian operations.

EasyMed Services has created its products - the International Medical Passport and Easy SmartCare - to fulfil its mandate of helping to improve the health of as many people as possible all around the world. This was a key factor in Mr. Akram's decision to endorse the company's products; as a former world-class athlete, he is committed to improving the health of those in his native Pakistan, as well as other countries in the Asian sub-continent. This is shown by his endorsement of a flagship blood glucose-monitoring product for pharmaceutical giant Roche in both Pakistan and India.

As in many emerging economies, Pakistan has a large population (over 176m) with relatively scant access to healthcare. Telemedicine, eHealth and mHealth, the key domains of EasyMed, are a great solution for bringing healthcare to those in remote areas and also for creating efficiencies in dense urban locales.

EasyMed's Easy SmartCare solution is an appropriately priced software system that may be implemented in the majority of lower budget/higher turnover hospitals and clinics throughout the nation; our in-house technology development team is able to quickly customise solutions to cater for the idiosyncrasies of any particular market.

A key factor in EasyMed's decision to enter the Pakistani market was the penetration of mobile phones. It is estimated that there are over 131m mobile phone users in Pakistan, which equates to almost 75% of the population. EasyMed's mHealth products and associated strategy is very well suited to take advantage of this statistic and to improve the delivery and accessibility of healthcare throughout the country.

"We are delighted that a sportsman of the repute of Mr. Akram has seen the value in our products and agreed to work with us," said Mr. Tejinder Sahota, Chief Executive Officer of EasyMed. "He is one of the most recognisable sporting faces in Asia and anywhere in the world that cricket is played. We have no doubt that our work together will raise EasyMed's profile and help us to improve healthcare in more and more regions around the world."

Wasim Akram is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest fast bowlers ever to play the game of cricket. He captained the Pakistan team and was part of the World Cup winning squad of 1992. He was the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1993 and still holds several world and Pakistani bowling records. Mr. Akram currently works as a commentator and is also the bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders, one of the ten franchises of the Indian Premier League.

Mr. Sahota continues, "It is a particular pleasure for me to be working with Mr. Akram as he was at the height of his career when I was a young cricketer and I watched him many times. He brings the same passion and determination to his aim of improving healthcare as he did to his time as one of the world's greatest ever cricketers. Coupled with EasyMed's cutting-edge technological products, we believe this is a recipe for great success."
