PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Republic First Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ FRBK ]), the holding company for Republic Bank, today announced the hiring of John Lavin as the new Vice President of Commercial Lending for South Jersey. His responsibilities include the marketing of Commercial Loan and Cash Management products as Republic Bank continues its expansion in the Southern New Jersey Market.

John was previously with Cornerstone Bank in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where he served as a Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager in the Middle Market group. John brings over 20 years of lending experience from various financial institutions throughout the region to Republic.
