Yaletown Capital (TSX VENTURE:YCC) Announces the Next Generation of Smartphone Services for Business and Consumers

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2012) - Yaletown Capital (TSX VENTURE:YCC) and its technology partners today announce The Next Generation of smartphone services. The software provides visually and functionally enhanced smartphone capabilities that marry the traditional 10-digit phone calling and broadband mobile services. This software is specifically designed for smartphones, as they are the dominant means of communications in the world.

Yaletown Capital Corp President and Chief Executive Officer, Douglas Kind said, "These integrated services will change how people think about the old 10-digit dialed numbers as well as the web. Smartphone users no longer must choose between initiating a web lookup or keying in a number."

For example, a business customer can simply key in a traditional 10-digit number and they are then delivered into an integrated mobile-voice and commerce page. There they can place an order, talk to customer service, or perhaps launch a map with directions based on their location. The advantages of this combined step include time saved as well as the delivery of a smooth integration of services.

When a customer calls their favourite pizza shop the software takes them straight into a combined ordering menu and communications portal. There is no need to go on the web separately before dialing, and no toggling between web page and dialer. Users can press the talk button on their smartphone screen at any time and are will instantly be connected.

The software works much the same for an individual as they can present themselves via an outbound smart phone web page. Users might project their latest status, such I am as driving. They could even present their latest tweets or Facebook posts.

The faster, cheaper and easier characteristics of this new service model are a leap forward in service capabilities compared to existing 800 phone services. The suite of services include multiple call queuing, live texting during a call, as well as changing from text to voice to video and all in the same connection.

This new system works with Android, iPhone and other current smartphone devices. It renders the older SMS, messenger platforms and 800 phone services obsolete. You can connect from anywhere in North America as a regular service. A second platform of services is planned for Europe and the UK in early 2013. Demonstration products will be available in Oct with customer availability in Q1 2013.
