Federated Enhanced Treasury Income Fund Reports Semi-Annual Earnings
PITTSBURGH, July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Federated Enhanced Treasury Income Fund (NYSE: [ FTT ]) today announced earnings for the six-month period ended May 31, 2012. The fund employs a managed distribution plan to support a level distribution to shareholders that may be comprised of income, capital gains and/or return of capital. Under the plan, the fund makes monthly cash distributions approximating 5.5% of the fund's net asset value (NAV) on an annualized basis based on the fund's NAV from the previous month-end. The fund may make distributions in excess of those required under the plan in order to meet its obligations under the Internal Revenue Code.
For the six-month period, FTT reported net investment income of $0.8 million or $0.08 per share. FTT made distributions of $4.3 million, or $0.45 per share based on the fund's managed distribution plan, a portion of which may represent a tax return of capital.1 Net realized and unrealized losses were $2.6 million or $0.27 per share.
On May 31, 2012, total net assets of the fund were $151.3 million and the net asset value per share was $15.91.
