INDIANAPOLIS, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE: [ SPG ]), the world's leading retail real estate company announced that 120 of its malls coast-to-coast will help celebrate Mom's Nite Out on Thursday, May 10.

Simon® is the only shopping center company to team up with the organizers of National Mom's Nite Out to celebrate Moms through this unique event. Several brands and organizations including Diet Coke, Dove Body Wash, Little Black Dress Vodka, StriVectin, and VISIT FLORIDA will participate in the event.

While activities vary across the Simon portfolio of participating properties, all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an evening filled with entertainment, fashion and beauty services, and food and beverage sampling, all focused on rewarding Moms. These events are free and open to moms of all ages.

"We believe that moms deserve 'A Nite Off,' so our malls are hosting a free event where they can enjoy their favorite retail destination in a new way," said Mikael Thygesen, Chief Marketing Officer at Simon Property Group, who added that last year's event drew thousands of Moms and received strong praise from participants.

This year's attendees will have the chance to win one of several prizes provided by sponsors including the Mom's Night Out Sweepstakes where one lucky mom and three of her friends will win a trip provided by VISIT FLORIDA to the Bellasera Hotel in Naples, Florida, and a chance to win a $500 gift card and participate in Little Black Dress Vodka's Online Celebrity Little Black Dress Auction benefiting Dress for Success. Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help underprivileged women find jobs and remain employed.

Originally organized by Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media, author and Mom Talk Radio host, National Mom's Nite Out unites social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mom bloggers and networks in giving moms a well-deserved night off. Bailey brought the first National Mom's Nite Out to life after watching moms take care of everyone else on Mother's Day but never themselves.
