CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--In recognition of her contributions to the voluntary employee benefits industry, Neiciee Durrence, vice president of Acquisition Strategies for Unum (NYSE: UNM), has been selected to the International Worksite Marketing Hall of Fame of the Workplace Benefits Association.

Durrence will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in August at the Workplace Benefits Mania 2011 in Chicago. Also selected for induction this year is Louise J. Pantalone, executive vice president of Univers Workplace Solutions.

Durrence, who has been with Unum since 1984, has served in a variety of roles within the company including sales, customer service, enrollment services, product development and marketing. She has played a major role in key strategic initiatives that have helped make Unum a leader in the voluntary benefits market.

In 1993, Durrence led a team in creating the companya™s first electronic enrollment system, Plane.biz. This platform has become an industry standard for voluntary benefits and remains the leading event-driven enrollment and benefits education tool for brokers, employers and employees. She also participated in the companya™s expansion of its voluntary worksite offerings and is currently leading a cross-functional team in the development of an integrated business model designed to promote growth and efficiency in serving mid-to-large case voluntary customers.
