Anthony J. Magro to Join Evercore Partners as a Senior Managing Director

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Evercore Partners Inc. (NYSE: EVR) announced today that Anthony J. Magro has agreed to join the firma™s Investment Banking business as a Senior Managing Director based in New York. Mr. Magro will focus on providing strategic and financial advice to companies in the Industrial and Consumer sectors.

Mr. Magro was most recently a Vice Chairman of Global Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was previously Global Head of the Industrial Group, Global Head of the Natural Resources Group, and Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. Prior to joining Bank of America ten years ago, Mr. Magro was Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Bear Stearns. Mr. Magro has more than 25 years of experience advising corporations on major transactions, including transactions for Berry Plastics, Dean Foods, Energizer, Hain-Celestial, Hertz, ITT, Kellogg, Michael Foods, Nabisco, Navistar, Ralcorp, SPX, and Tyco International.
