Active Power Deploys High Efficiency Backup Power Systems at Law Enforcement Command Center

AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), a leading manufacturer of critical backup power systems and continuous infrastructure solutions, will deploy two of its [ CleanSource UPS ] (uninterruptible power supply) systems at a law enforcement command center located in the northeast United States. The 600 kVA and 130 kVA UPS systems will provide complete power protection to the centera™s surveillance and communications equipment. The equipment has been installed and will be commissioned later this month.

The first of its kind in the United States, the command center will serve as a hub to seamlessly coordinate with law enforcement agencies to help identify, manage and respond to emergencies. The center will also provide direct access to incident commanders; operations; intelligence and investigations section chiefs; and critical external agency assets.
