DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Nov. 10, 2010/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --UTC Fire & Security announced today it has created a joint venture in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with Muneer Ahmad Al-Sheikh Mohammed Sharif Al Olama of Zener Group. The joint venture – Zener Fire and Security LLC – was recognized with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the shareholders and local officials. UTC Fire & Security is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Brown also announced that UTC Fire & Security will be establishing a Product Technology Demo Center in the region which will serve as a center of excellence for fire products.
