Government Properties Income Trust Announces Proposed Public Offering of 7,000,000 Common Shares
NEWTON, Mass.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Government Properties Income Trust (NYSE: GOV) today announced that it has commenced a proposed public offering of 7,000,000 common shares. GOV expects to use the net proceeds to repay amounts outstanding under its $250 million revolving credit facility and to fund general business activities, including possible future acquisitions. It is contemplated that the underwriters will also be granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,050,000 shares to cover overallotments, if any.
