iShares Announces Launch of iShares MSCI Poland Exchange Traded Fund
SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 26, 2010) - BlackRock, Inc. (
"The iShares MSCI Poland ETF provides investors with the opportunity to take greater advantage of Poland's economic growth, which is on a unique macro path compared to most other Eastern European countries," said Michael Latham, US Head of iShares at BlackRock. "We are expanding our single country offering because we believe that as financial advisors increasingly fine tune their clients' international exposure and institutional investors become more tactical internationally, we can make it easier for them to access the markets more efficiently and to build and manage portfolios using the large iShares MSCI-based international product set."
The iShares MSCI Poland Investable Market Index Fund is designed to track the MSCI Poland Investable Market Index, which is a free-float adjusted market capitalization weighted index designed to measure the performance of the top 99% of equity securities listed on stock exchanges in Poland. The top three sectors of the Index (as of 4/30/10) are financials (46%), energy (13%) and materials (13%).
