AmeriGas Announces Carey Monaghan Will Retire

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--AmeriGas Propane Inc., general partner of AmeriGas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APU), announced that Carey Monaghan, vice president, sales & marketing, will retire effective January 31, 2010. Mr. Monaghan, 58, joined AmeriGas in 2000 following a nineteen year career at Campbell Soup Company, where he last served as vice president, dry soup.

AmeriGas CEO Eugene V. N. Bissell said, "Throughout Carey's more than nine years with AmeriGas, he has filled an important role as the leader of our organic growth strategies. During his tenure managing AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange, volume increased from approximately two million cylinders per year to eleven million. Under Carey's leadership, we also achieved significant growth through our Strategic Accounts program."

The company expects to name Mr. Monaghan's successor during the first quarter of 2010.
