


Mercantile Bancorp Announces Anticipated Filing of Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q
QUINCY, IL--(Marketwire - November 23, 2009) - Mercantile Bancorp, Inc. (
The Company received a letter from the NYSE Amex dated November 17, 2009, confirming the Company had not yet filed its quarterly report on Form 10-Q with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The extended deadline for the report was November 16, 2009. The delay in filing has resulted in the Company's noncompliance with Sections 134 and 1101 of the NYSE Amex Company Guide. Those sections require timely filing of all reports with the SEC and NYSE Amex. The Company had notified the NYSE Amex on November 16 of the delay in filing and its anticipated noncompliance with the continued listing standard.
The Company anticipates filing its quarterly report on Form 10-Q by or before November 25, 2009. The Company believes the filing of the report will remedy the noncompliance cited in the NYSE Amex letter.
