TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2009) - Delta Uranium Inc. (TSX:DUR) ("Delta" or the "Corporation") announces that it has completed a program of boulder sampling on its Wheeler River properties in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan.

A total of 468 samples were collected from sandstone boulders on the four mineral dispositions that comprise Delta's Wheeler River property. The samples will be analysed geochemically and by reflectance spectroscopy to determine clay mineral species. Most uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin have a surface expression in rock geochemistry and/or clay mineralogy that reflects the extensive alteration haloes that are associated with mineralization. In the absence of outcrops, locally derived boulders of sandstone are a suitable sampling medium.

The four dispositions, designated C3, C4, C5 and C6 have a total area of 1,898 hectares. The C4, C5 and C6 properties adjoin the Wheeler River property of Denison Mines Corp. (60%), Cameco Corp. (30%) and JCU (10%). Recent drilling by Denison/Cameco/JCU on the Phoenix zone has returned an intersection of 62.6% U3O8 over 6 metres in hole WR-273.

The C3 property is located midway between the former producing Key Lake mine and the Denison/Cameco/JCU Wheeler River block. A VTEM airborne EM survey was flown over the property. Inversion of the EM data by Condor Consulting Inc. has revealed a wide zone of conductivity at the unconformity, interpreted to be caused by clay alteration of the type associated with all the major uranium deposits of the Athabasca basin.

Wayne Isaacs, Chairman and CEO of Delta states that, "We are very excited at completing this initial phase of what will be a very structured exploration program. We are looking forward to continuing our work in the Athabasca Basin and advancing our projects to the benefit of our shareholders."
