VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 8, 2009) - Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX:ICS), a leading provider of software solutions for mobile and embedded devices, today announced it was selected by Microsoft Corp. as the recipient of a Windows Embedded Excellence Award at the 2009 Windows Embedded Partner summit held in San Francisco last week. Intrinsyc received the award for "2009 North American Partner of the Year" in the Consumer Devices category.
Intrinsyc was chosen for its outstanding efforts in driving Windows Embedded CE designs for consumer Internet devices (CIDs), such as connected portable navigation devices (PNDs), feature phone handsets, e-Readers, and portable media players. Intrinsyc enabled more than 60 Windows Embedded CE designs during the award period. Related Intrinsyc products and services include Destinator, a leading GPS navigation software solution, as well as solutions for development of Windows Embedded devices such as software driver development, telephony software, power management optimization, and user interface design and development.
