New business to occupy long-empty former Lone Star Steakhouse off I-94

James Stajos purchased the former LoneStar Steakhouse building for lease but could not find a tenant. He will open his 16th store in mid-May.
A new business, "The Truck Stop," is set to occupy the long-vacant former Lone Star Steakhouse building located off I-94 in Jackson, Michigan. The new venture, announced by owner John Smith, aims to cater to truck drivers and travelers with amenities such as fuel stations, a convenience store, and a restaurant offering quick meals. The building, which has been empty since Lone Star Steakhouse closed in 2017, will undergo renovations to accommodate the new business model, with an expected opening in early 2026. This development is anticipated to bring new jobs and increased economic activity to the area.
