AT&T has announced that starting October 2, 2023, customers who wish to receive the full $10 monthly discount on their wireless bill through autopay must provide their bank account or debit card details. Previously, this discount was available using credit cards or other payment methods, but now, only direct bank account or debit card payments will qualify for the full discount. Customers using alternative payment methods will see their discount reduced to $5 per month. This change aims to reduce AT&T's payment processing fees, as transactions via bank accounts or debit cards are less costly than those through credit cards. Customers have until the specified date to update their payment information to continue enjoying the full discount.
