Michael Cleveland opened Heroes Arcade, 2022 Washington St., because he loves vintage pinball and arcade games, but economic woes have slowed business.
The owner of Two Rivers Heroes Arcade in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, has announced that he might have to close the business if financial conditions do not improve. The arcade, which opened in 2021, has been struggling with low customer turnout, particularly during the winter months. Owner Mike Lemke expressed his disappointment over the lack of community support, noting that despite the arcade's unique offerings like pinball machines, classic arcade games, and a bar, it has not been able to attract enough visitors to sustain operations. Lemke has been actively promoting the arcade through social media and local events, but the response has been insufficient. He has set a deadline for improvement, stating that if business does not pick up, he will be forced to shut down the arcade, which would be a significant loss for the local entertainment scene.
