UniCredit on Tuesday said it would keep its profit stable this year despite lower rates after posting a better than expected 2024 result, and pledged to increase shareholder rewards in 2025-2027.
UniCredit, Italy's second-largest bank, announced on February 11, 2025, that it had surpassed its 2024 profit target, achieving a net profit of 8.6 billion euros, which was above the 8.2 billion euros goal set for the year. The bank's CEO, Andrea Orcel, expressed confidence in matching this performance in 2025, despite economic uncertainties. This optimistic outlook is supported by UniCredit's strategic initiatives, including cost-cutting measures and a focus on higher-margin businesses, which have bolstered its financial health.
