Pratik Vira, an Andheri businessman, has filed an FIR against developers Kashyap Mehta and Atul Bharani of the Sunshine Group. Vira alleges he was cheated into investing Rs 150 crore and defrauded through forged documents and unauthorized loans.
A Mumbai businessman, Rajesh V. Pandit, has accused real estate developer Shreenathji Group and its directors of forgery and cheating in a property transaction. Pandit claims he was misled into purchasing a flat in the Shreenathji Park project in Kandivali East, where he was promised a 1,000 sq ft apartment for Rs 1.25 crore. However, upon visiting the site, he discovered that the flat was only 600 sq ft, and the developer had allegedly forged documents to inflate the flat's size. Despite his attempts to resolve the issue, the developer failed to provide a refund or rectify the situation, leading Pandit to file a complaint with the police. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including cheating and forgery.
