The integration of AI into business planning suggests a new, four-stage workflow designed to maximize strategic rigor while minimizing wasted effort:

  1. Ideation and Hypothesis: The founder defines the unique value proposition and identifies the specific market insights that differentiate the business from the average competitor.
  2. AI Drafting: AI is utilized to construct the first draft, handling the structural components, general market research, and initial formatting.
  3. Stress Testing: The AI is repurposed as a "devil's advocate." The founder prompts the AI to find holes in the strategy, simulate potential competitor reactions, or identify risks in the revenue model.
  4. Refinement: The human founder manually edits the document to ensure the voice is authentic and the strategy remains aggressive and specific, stripping away any remaining AI-generated genericisms.

Ultimately, the document itself has become a byproduct rather than the goal. The friction of documentation has been removed, leaving only the essential work of strategic thinking.
