Water and Ice Available to Jersey Central Power & Light Customers Without... -- MORRISTOWN, N.J., Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Customers of Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) who remain without power from Hurricane Sandy can pick up water and ice free of charge as storm restoration efforts continue.

The water and ice distribution is being coordinated with county offices of emergency management. The first two locations are in Hunterdon and Middlesex counties. More locations will be added. Customers can go to the following locations:

JCP&L reminds customers to exercise safety to stay away from downed power lines.  Customers are asked to report outages at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) immediately.  The more people who call, the faster JCP&L can pinpoint the locations to send crews for repairs.
