Axios Mobile Assets Names James Taylor Chairman; David Wickwire Joins Board of Directors

VAUGHAN, ON--(Marketwire - Jul 23, 2012) -   James E. (Jim) Taylor has been named chairman of the board for Axios Mobile Assets Corporation (CNSX: [ AXA ]), Richard MacDonald, Axios president and chief executive officer, announced today. Taylor joined the board in June and replaces Jon Gill. In addition, David Wickwire, CPA, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ongweoweh Corporation, was named to the Axios board and will join the audit committee. Both appointments were approved by Axios' board and are effective immediately.

Taylor currently serves as CEO and vice chairman at AMP Electric Vehicles. In his new role, Taylor's expertise and insight in launching new technologies, along with his logistics expertise and experience leading complex product platforms, will help drive Axios' business as it continues into the next phase of growth. At AMP, he oversees all aspects of the company's sustainability efforts and forging leading-edge technology for more sustainable solutions in vehicles. Prior to that, Taylor worked for more than 30 years in executive roles at General Motors, and has a significant understanding of the automotive sector and the logistics channel. In addition, his experience within the industry aligns with Axios' strategy as a logistics solution for high-value goods and anti-counterfeiting within the supply chain. Taylor also has held operations leadership positions within the supply chain management, logistics and purchasing groups with various GM brands.

Wickwire brings more than ten years of logistics and financial experience to the Axios board. At Ongweoweh, he is responsible for overseeing the company's financial affairs, internal and external reporting requirements and works with the management team to guide financial and economic objectives for the company. Ongweoweh recently signed a $300 million (USD), five year purchase agreement with Axios. He brings industry, pallet management and pooling expertise to the Axios organization.

"We'd like to thank Jon Gill for his tenure on the board," said Rich MacDonald, president of Axios. "His expertise in early stage companies and capital markets provided value to the team as we began our business. We look forward to Jim's leadership and familiarity with manufacturing and to leveraging Dave's logistical industry experience as we advance our business plans moving forward, and we're pleased to have them on board."

Collectively, Taylor and Wickwire bring significant leadership and business experience within various channels of the logistics industry, as well as background working with premium brands. Their expertise complements Axios' strategy to provide an environmentally-conscious solution to the logistics market, allowing higher returns for users through operational efficiencies such as monetization of carbon credits and a reduced lifecycle cost.
