PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - Nov 28, 2011) - (OTCQB: [ CPBO ]) (OTCBB: [ CPBO ]) Chuck Michael has joined Capital Pacific Bank as senior vice-president and business development officer, and a member of the bank's loan team. He will develop new business for the bank with an emphasis on commercial loans. The highly-respected banker has been in banking for 40 years, having spent the majority of his career in the Portland metropolitan area.

Michael came to Capital Pacific Bank from a position with First Independent Bank in Vancouver, Wash., where he served as division manager, heading the bank's commercial lending operations in Vancouver, Bellevue and Portland. He began his career with West One Bank and has held positions with Bank of the Northwest and Bank of the Cascades.

Active in the community, he currently serves on the board of the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society; the Humane Society of Southwest Washington; and he sits on the President's Council of the Portland Business Alliance. He is a past board member of Classroom Law Project and remains involved as a volunteer in their youth and high school programs. He is a graduate of Central Washington University and the Pacific Coast Banking School. Michael resides in Vancouver, Washington.
