PIMCO Income Strategy Fund and PIMCO Income Strategy Fund II Announce Date of Annual Shareholder Meetings

NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--PIMCO Income Strategy Fund (NYSE: PFL) and PIMCO Income Strategy Fund II (NYSE: PFN) (each a aFunda and, collectively, the aFundsa) today announced that the Fundsa™ annual Shareholder Meetings for the 2011-2012 fiscal year will be held jointly on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. The Fundsa™ last proxy statement, dated November 12, 2010, previously indicated that the meetings were anticipated to be held in December 2011.

Additional information regarding deadlines for shareholder proposals and/or trustee nominations made under the Funds' Bylaws or pursuant to Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, will be subsequently announced to shareholders in a document to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the Funds.
