CURITIBA, Brazil, Aug. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Companhia Paranaense de Energia - COPEL(BM&FBOVESPA: CPLE3, CPLE5, CPLE6 / NYSE: [ ELP ] / LATIBEX: XCOP), a company that generates, transmits, distributes and sells power to the State of Parana, announces its results for the first half of 2011 (1H11).
Net Operating Revenue (NOR): R$ 3,669 million.
Operating Income: R$ 964 million.
Net Income: R$ 642 million.
EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation And Amortization): R$ 1,052 million.
Return on Shareholder's Equity: 5.7% in the period.
Growth in Power distribution: 4.0% (captive market).
