WAKEFIELD, MA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - Franklin Street Properties Corp. ("FSP," "its," "our" or "we") (NYSE Amex: [ FSP ]), an investment firm specializing in real estate, announced today its acquisition of an office building in Durham, North Carolina for a purchase price of $75,800,000. Completed in 2009, the building is located at 4820 Emperor Boulevard, contains approximately 259,531 rentable square feet and is 100% leased.

This acquisition brings our total portfolio of properties to 33 and we continue to be very optimistic about the opportunities that are presenting themselves to acquire additional properties in 2011.
