Amseco Receives Final Scott Hogg and Associates Interpretation Report on Barry-Urban Project Airborne MAG Survey
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 6, 2010) - Amseco Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:AEL) ("Amseco") is pleased to announce that it has received the final airborne MAG geophysical survey interpretation report from Scott Hogg and Associates Ltd. ("SHA") of Toronto, ON.
Mr. Jean Desmarais, President of Amseco states:" This interpretation report confirms the value of the property portfolio accumulated during the last 6 months. The Corporation believes that the Barry-Urban camp offers great potential. The exploration currently being carried out by Amseco and its neighbours could result in an increase of the non-43-101 compliant resources in the known gold occurences as well as uncovering additional zones which remain undiscovered at this time. The identification of at least eight important exploration targets on Amseco's claims helps in confirming the regional evaluation completed by Amseco and validates the efforts undertaken to date."
The survey extended over 5,037 line kilometers flown at 100 meter spacing between survey lines and with control lines at 500 m intervals. The average survey altitude was 80 meters using a Geometrics G822 sensor. The contract was done by GeoData Solutions GDS Inc. of Laval, QC.
Amseco commissioned in May, 2010, SHA to interpret the data. The initial focus of the interpretation was to identify lineaments and structures that may relate to gold mineralization. It also could lead to the identification of possible sulphide mineralization.
Using SHA's SI-GRID process high resolution 20 m. grids were generated from the collected data. Map enhancements including a pole reduced vertical magnetic gradient,to enhance shallow sources and resolve closely spaced anomalies. as well as apparent magnetic susceptibility were used to identify the different geological lithologies. SHA also integrated existing airborne EM channel data to map the profile response and calculate approximate time constant information along line. This added conductivity information may have a bearing on both gold and sulphide mineralization.
Where available existing geological mapping and known gold mineralization were integrated in an effort to study the correlation between showings or deposits and geophysical attributes.
The report identified eight (8) potential gold and copper anomalies located totally or partially on Amseco claims or over which it holds an option to earn an interest.
Now that the anomalies have been identified Amseco has initiated the planning of a more focused summer gold and copper exploration program on its Barry-Urban project. The activities being considered include stripping, channel saw sampling as well as diamond drilling. These activities will be carried out on Amseco's claims as well as on the claims under the Joint-venture with Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX-V:"BFD").
