AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Critical backup power systems manufacturer Active Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACPW), will feature its highly energy and space efficient continuous power solutions at the upcoming [ HP Technology Forum ], June 22-23, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas and the [ 2010 Turner Logistics Tradeshow ], June 22-23, at the Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

At the HP Technology Forum in booth S-3, Active Power will have on display a 1/10 size detailed model of its [ PowerHouse solution ], a continuous critical infrastructure system. The system can contain a generator; high efficiency flywheel based UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system; switchgear; monitoring and control software; and optional cooling system.
PowerHouse can and has been deployed in conjunction with the HP POD, providing the mission critical power and cooling architecture for the containerized datacenter and also has been utilized for facility infrastructure expansion; disaster recovery; temporary critical power needs; and event support.
