The new location is one of five the bank plans to open in the Portland area before the end of the year. The Sellwood store offers several defining features that include a roll-up garage door with outdoor seating, an eco-roof and digital community displays. The store is also challenging area residents and businesses to select an improvement project where Umpqua will donate up to $10,000 and work jointly with residents to complete. Located on the corner of SE 13th and Bidwell, across the street from the Sellwood Public Library, the new location is one of 21 Umpqua Bank stores in the greater Portland metropolitan area.

The new 1,800-square-foot Sellwood store features include:
- A Discover Wall digitally presenting bank products and services for customers to peruse before printing and taking away items of interest.
- An electronic community bulletin board showcasing neighborhood photographs and events.
- A LocalSpotlight program featuring Sellwood/Moreland merchants and their products.
- Free Umpqua Blend coffee and Smith Teamaker personally crafted teas.
- A Computer Caf© for online banking and Internet surfing.

- An eco-roof with plants in bloom.
Umpquaa™s Sellwood store will be managed by Elizabeth Galbreath, who previously served as assistant manager at Umpquaa™s Cultural District location in downtown Portland and is a familiar face in the Sellwood community. Galbreath and her team will provide personal banking, small business and commercial lending solutions in-person and online.

The store will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be an all-day open house this Friday, May 21, for neighbors and friends.
In celebration of the store opening, Umpqua Bank will launch the Sellwood aBuild Your Blocka Challenge. Through this challenge, Umpqua Bank will grant up to $10,000 to the top Sellwood neighborhood improvement project nominated by local residents. Nominations will be accepted online and in-store beginning June 7. Complete challenge details and nomination guidelines will be released the week of May 31.
