EGI Financial Holdings Inc. Announces Key Addition to Executive Team to Advance its Strategies in Canada and the United States

TORONTO, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Board of Directors of EGI Financial Holdings Inc., (TSX:EFH) ("EGI Financial" or "the Company"), Paul Little, Chairman, and Doug McIntyre, CEO, of EGI Financial are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Dobronyi to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer, effective November 23, 2009.

Mr. Dobronyi brings extensive Canadian and international insurance experience to the Company. He joins EGI Financial from Manulife Financial, a leading global financial services company, where he has held a number of senior positions in Canada and the United States, focusing on niche markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general management. His most recent role was as Senior Vice President, Business Development and prior to that, Senior Vice President, Affinity Markets. Prior to Manulife, Mr. Dobronyi was a principal consultant to the insurance industry with a major international actuarial firm. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
