VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 13, 2009) - Epic Data International Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EKD), a provider of shop floor data collection and warehouse management solutions, today announced that it has now received the refund of $535,000 from the Canada Revenue Agency in respect of a claim made under the Scientific Research and Experimental Development Program. The funds will be used to pay down the Company's secured debt and other general corporate purposes.

The company also announced the departure of its Vice President Sales, Alex Sventitsky, who joined the company in June 2008. The company wishes Alex all the best in his future endeavours.
