Calian Technologies Ltd.: Calian Receives Canada Award for Excellence Gold Trophy - Healthy Workplace(R)

KANATA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 8, 2009) - Calian (TSX:CTY) is pleased to announce that on September 8th, the National Quality Institute (NQI) announced that the Business and Technology Services Division of Calian had completed the Progressive Excellence Program (PEP) to Level 4 for Healthy Workplace^® and had received the Canada Award for Excellence - Gold Trophy.

The NQI's four stage PEP is designed to facilitate the implementation of world class best practices in the areas of business excellence and healthy workplace in Canadian organizations.
