Fri, February 6, 2009 Corporate Leaders Receive Ninth Annual Emerald Asset Management "E-3 Awards"
PHILADELPHIA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--The Chief Executive Officers of PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE:PNC) and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:MVL) are among four corporate executives named as the recipients of the ninth annual "E-3 Awards," presented by Emerald Asset Management at the Sixteenth Annual Emerald Groundhog Day Investment Forum. The Forum was held in Philadelphia on February 5, 2009.
Joseph Besecker, President of Emerald Asset Management, said, "We created this unique award to recognize leaders who epitomize the qualities that are inherent in the most successful business leaders – qualities that reflect an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence," adding, "The award's name – E-3 – reflects these criteria: the Emerald Entrepreneurial and Excellence Award." - Christoph H. Westphal, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer, Sirtris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [In June 2008, SIRT was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline PLC (NYSE:GSK) and now operates as an Independent Discovery Performance unit within GSK]
Green Company Executive Award:
